Bring the whole family for a unique and educational adventure at Boyolali's newest tourist destination, Cepogo Cheese Park! Immerse yourselves in the world of animal husbandry and discover the process of milk production.
Located in the heart of the Central Java milk-producing region, Boyolali is the perfect place for this one-of-a-kind facility that combines fun and learning.
Under the umbrella of the well-known Cimory Group, Cepogo Cheese Park officially opened its doors on December 12, 2022. With a variety of exciting games and rides already available, there are even more fun activities in the works. Curious about what's there? Check out some of the information below.
Before you head to Cepogo Cheese Park, be sure to check their hours of operation. The park has three main areas: the tourist section, restaurants, and shops where you can grab some souvenirs and dairy products.
The tourist section is open daily from 8 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., and it's best to visit in the morning for a more relaxed experience.
The restaurants and shops have slightly different hours. On weekends, they're open from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M. and on weekdays from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. If you're looking to grab a bite or some dairy products, make sure to place your order 30 minutes before the restaurants close.
To enjoy the fun at Cepogo Cheese Park, you'll need to purchase a ticket for IDR 20,000 per person. Children under 80cm tall get in for free, but anyone taller will need a ticket, regardless of age.
Your ticket gives you access to all the beautiful farm-themed photo spots, including a Hobbit house replica, and a chance to see cute animals like rabbits, goats, horses, calves, and ostriches.
You can also enjoy the park's rides like ATVs, archery, and more for an additional IDR 10-15,000 per activity.
Or, opt for the Fun Pass Ticket at IDR 45,000 for activities like carrot feeding, dove feeding, fun archery, moo moo train, and shoot the moo.
At Cepogo Cheese Park, you'll find temperatures ranging from cool to cold due to its location on the slopes of Mount Merbabu at an altitude of 1,100 meters. Don't forget to pack a jacket, especially for early mornings and evenings.
The cold air, plus the unique European-style farm buildings make visitors often refer to this area as Indonesia's Switzerland.
There is nothing wrong with taking out your collection of coats and boots so that the photos during your vacation at Cepogo Cheese Park are even more stunning.
Many visitors have been asking this question. As its name suggests, Cepogo Cheese Park indeed does offer cheese-related attractions.
A cheese house has been prepared to show cheese-making demonstrations, and rumor has it that the chef who will be on duty there, is imported directly from Switzerland. Wow!
Interestingly, this cheese house ride is planned to start operating in February 2023. So it's getting impatient to come there.
Unlike other tourist destinations managed by Cimory, Cepogo Cheese Park doesn't have its own milk production facility. But, don't worry, you can still grab some dairy goodies, sourced directly from Bawen outlets.
Cepogo Cheese Park is located in Dusun II, Genting, Cepogo, Boyolali Regency, Central Java and is about a 30-minute drive from the Boyolali toll gate.
If you're looking for a fun and unique destination during your vacation to Yogyakarta, Semarang, or Solo, Cepogo Cheese Park is a great choice. The drive from these cities to the park is about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Just be aware, the road leading up to Cepogo Cheese Park is a little winding with ups and downs, so it might be a bit of an adventure getting there! But don't worry, small to medium-sized buses should still be able to handle the road.
If you’re traveling with your extended family or in large groups, it’s a good idea to rent a bus. Not only that you have to take care of cars and searching for parking spots, but you can also help reduce road congestion.
