Dhoho Airport Welcomes Eid Homecoming Travelers in 2024

Kediri has currently been under the spotlight. The oldest city in East Java has just inaugurated the Dhoho International Airport on April 5.

The official opening of Dhoho International Airport was marked by the landing of a state-owned company, Airbus A320, with 180 seats, flying from Jakarta. This opening is expected to increase tourist visits to East Java.

During the Eid homecoming period, Dhoho Airport becomes the best solution for people arriving and departing from Kediri. According to detik.com, statistics indicated that the passenger traffic reached 1,155 people up to D+6 of Eid.

This consisted of eight flights that transported 513 departing and 642 arriving passengers.

“Alhamduillah, the flights in DHX (Dhoho Kediri Airport Code) have been running smoothly and safely with 1,155 passengers as of Tuesday, April 16, 2024,” the General Manager of Dhoho Kediri Airport, I Nyoman Noer Rohim, reported to detik.com, (4/19).

Dhoho International Airport Kediri is in Grogol District. It is about 12 kilometers from Kediri city center. The airport was built on 321-hectare land, with a runway length of 3,300 meters and a width of 45 meters.

The wide area allows this airport to accommodate a wide-body jet aircraft and the large Boeing 777-300ER. Dhoho International Airport is ready to serve domestic and international flights and is projected to facilitate Umrah and Hajj pilgrimages for 12 districts/cities.
