Gamplong Nature Studio operates from 08:00 to 17:00. Hanung Bramantyo initiated this studio due to the lack of nature-based or outdoor film studios.

 

 

 

The studio is located in Gamplong Hamlet, Moyudan Village, Sleman Regency, about a 40-minute drive from the Malioboro Street area.

 

If you’re arriving by plane at Yogyakarta International Airport, this destination makes a perfect stopover before heading into Yogyakarta city.

 

Spanning 2.3 hectares, the studio is equipped with various old-themed building settings, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a time machine.

 

Ticket Prices and Attractions at Gamplong Nature Studio

 

To enjoy the picturesque buildings at Gamplong Nature Studio, tourists are not required to pay a specific entry fee. Instead, voluntary donations are appreciated and contribute to the studio’s maintenance costs.

 

Besides exploring the exteriors and capturing movie-like photos, you can also enter several buildings that were used as film sets. There is a ticket fee for entering these buildings.

 

Tickets for individual attractions are priced at IDR 10,000 each. You can choose to visit any or all of the attractions, just be sure to prepare funds for the entrance tickets.

Located on land owned by the Yogyakarta Sultanate and rented by the local village government, Gamplong Nature Studio was previously used for sugar cane plantations serving a local sugar factory.

 

Director Hanung Bramantyo collaborated with local residents to operate the studio, fostering strong community involvement. The parking area also features kiosks selling traditional crafts from Gamplong Village, which is renowned for its woven fiber products.
