Introducing Diamond Beach, a Chunk of Beautiful Diamond in Bali

Clusters of triangular rocks that look like upside-down gems add a chunk of beauty to the already mesmerizing Diamond Beach. Add to that a stretch of white sandy beach combined with rocky cliffs that adorn the beach only strengthens a message to visitors that Bali is more than just Kuta, Canggu, or Ubud. If you’re willing to go the extra mile and look for more, you’ll soon realize that there are countless hidden gems you can find on the Island of the Gods.

Going the extra mile means taking a little more effort. And that’s what a trip to Diamond Beach is. But we promise you that those efforts will soon translate to a jaw-dropping yet mesmerizing beauty you won’t find every day. Want to know more? Let’s look at five things about Diamond Beach.

5 notable things before visiting Diamond Beach

Diamond Beach is Located on Nusa Penida Island

Diamond Beach is located on Nusa Penida, an island situated in the southeast of Bali's main island. Nusa Penida is one of the largest islands you can find around Bali. From the Banjar Nyuh Port, the gateway to Nusa Penida, you can reach the beach in about 1 hour by road.

Don’t forget to book a boat

By sea is the only option to get to Nusa Penida, either you’re coming from Bali or the small islets around it. Generally, tourists will choose a fast boat that sails from the Sanur area. If you’re only going on a one-day trip, it’s best to leave early in the morning to have plenty of free time while you’re there.

You can buy the ticket at the port. However, booking a few days earlier is better, so you don’t run out of a ticket, especially when you’re planning to leave at the earliest. You can also buy a ticket through an online operator.

Restaurants and accommodations are limited

As a relatively new destination, accommodations and restaurants in Diamond Beach are still limited. So, it’s better to bring your food and drink when visiting and don’t litter!

There are several accommodation options, from the cheapest to the more premium; just make sure you adjust your budget accordingly. Don’t forget to reserve in advance, especially if you visit during the holiday season.

Up-and-down the stairs? No big deal!

You must go down the steps carved directly into the rocky wall to reach the shoreline. Watch your step going up and down, and don’t hesitate to hold on to the safety rope.

When climbing or descending, you will be accompanied by a breathtaking view of the open blue sea. The stunning scenery makes the journey of more than 100 steps somewhat easier. Remember to wear comfortable footwear and avoid using slippery sandals or heeled shoes.

Diamond Beach is home to endless photo spots

The most ordinary photo spot tourists choose when visiting Diamond Beach is on the stone steps. The view of the cluster of rocks looks so clear and too bad to miss. However, if you want to do a photo shoot at this location, avoid doing it on weekends because the queue will be long and make your photo less pretty.

If you’re looking for an adrenaline-pumping activity, try hopping on the giant swing. Pay IDR 100,000 upfront and start swinging and taking those pictures. The shoreline is also fantastic, and of course, it’s safer and more comfortable if you want to spend more time taking selfies.

So, how is it? Are you interested in visiting Diamond Beach? Besides Diamond Beach, there are plenty of other beaches on Nusa Penida Island that you can visit, like Atuh Beach, Kelingking Beach, Tembeling Beach, and many others.

Besides sitting on a giant swing and taking a picture in the fabulous Diamond Beach, another unique experience you can have while in Bali is stopping by several tourist destinations with electric vehicles from TRAC. There are 30 units of EV Smart Mobility spread out in two locations, including 20 units of Toyota COMS (BEV), five units of Toyota C+pod (BEV), and five units of Toyota Prius PHEV that you can drive.

Besides that, TRAC also offers car and bus rental services that you can book during the trip. You can get an excellent car with a private driver using TRAC's service. That way, you can roam the island quickly, including checking off your bucket list of destinations one by one without worrying about traffic jams in Bali and looking for a parking space.

With dozens of representative offices throughout Indonesia, TRAC reaches almost the entire nation. Call Customer Assistance Center at 1500009 or email rco.nasional@trac.astra.co.id for more information about TRAC’car and bus rental service. If you want something more convenient, download the TRACtoGo application on Google Play Store and Apple App Store and book directly.
