Looking around, hunting for field trip destinations won’t be too hard, however some places limit their schedule for group visitors. Among the favorite times for a school field trip are the end of the year to the start of the year. Hence, some of the most favored field trip destinations are usually fully booked. TRAC has compiled several destinations in different cities in Indonesia as an alternative for field trip destinations with students.
For schools in Jabodetabek, a trip to this same area would sound a little underwhelming. But wait, there are truly many destinations that you can visit with students in Jabodetabek that they may not have visited before. For historical tours, a trip to Kota Tua Jakarta or Jakarta Old Town can be an option. In Jakarta Old Town area, there are a couple of museums that varies in theme that you can tour, namely Bank Indonesia Museum, Wayang Museum, Jakarta History Museum, and several others. You can also invite students to stop by the iconic Chinatown area and the majestic Jakarta Kota Train Station, but make sure that the group are well monitored as it’s very easy to lose them since the point of interests are scattered.
