This year’s August concert lineup is stacked with big names from both the local and international scenes. From the British electronic duo HONNE to Korean stars like D.O. and Baekhyun of EXO, and from all-genre music fests to cultural traditions like Pacu Jalur, here’s what to mark on your calendar.
August 8–10 | Ancol, Jakarta
This genre-blending music festival kicks off the month with a bang. The Sounds Project Vol. 8 brings together dozens of artists from Indonesia and abroad. Missed HONNE’s last show? Catch them here for another round of feel-good beats.
August 9–10 | Lapangan Panahan, Yogyakarta
If you’re into pop and indie, this is your playground. Themed “Gelanggang Musik,” Cherrypop’s lineup features fresh talents like Bernadya, Perunggu, and .Feast, alongside iconic names like Rumahsakit, The Adams, and Pure Saturday.
Plus, it’s the long-awaited comeback of Yogyakarta indie legends Kornchonk Chaos.
August 9 | Indonesia Arena, Senayan
K-pop fans, get ready! D.O., EXO’s lead vocalist and acclaimed actor, is making his solo debut in Indonesia. Expect smooth vocals, heart-tugging ballads, and a packed house.
August 15–17 | JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta
Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day gets a bold, modern celebration at R-I Fest. This all-in-one festival combines live music, a UMKM market, cultural performances, and immersive art installations, all with a powerful theme of nationalism.
August 16 | ICE BSD City, Tangerang Selatan
Following D.O., fellow EXO member Baekhyun takes the stage with his “Reverie” tour. Known for his dynamic vocals and polished stage presence, Baekhyun’s return is highly anticipated by K-pop fans across Indonesia.
August 20–24 | Kuantan Singingi, Riau
Thanks to its recent viral moment on social media, Pacu Jalur is enjoying a new wave of attention. This traditional boat race features long, elaborately decorated canoes rowed in rhythm by teams of spirited men.
Alongside the race, expect vibrant cultural parades and traditional performances that reflect Riau’s deep-rooted heritage.
August 22–24 | JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta
LaLaLa is back, and this year’s three-day lineup is next level. Get ready for Camila Cabello, Black Eyed Peas, and LANY, plus top local acts bringing the heat. This is one of the biggest music events of the year, so brace yourself for three full days of high-energy vibes.
August 23 | Museum Monumen Yogya Kembali, Yogyakarta
In honor of Indonesia’s 80th year of independence, the Yogyakarta Palace is hosting Kamardikan 2025, a free public concert performed by the Yogyakarta Royal Orchestra.
Reservations are required—online (August 3 & 8) and in-person (August 9–10 at the Yogyakarta Palace).
August 30 | Orchid Forest Cikole, Lembang, Bandung
What’s better than an orchestra in the woods? Forestra brings together a bold mix of genres with acts like Bernadya, The Panturas, The SIGIT, Voice of Baceprot, Ensemble Tikoro, Oom Leo Berkaraoke, Iksan Skuter, and Raja Kirik.
The night will also feature a special orchestral performance by Reza Artamevia and Sal Priadi with the Erwin Gutawa Orchestra.
