July 2024 Event Schedule: WTF 2024, GIIAS, and Fan Meetings

As the holiday spirit lingers, July is packed with events and concerts. Some events that began last month, like the Jakarta Fair and the Bali Arts Festival, will conclude in the second week of July.

This month, you can look forward to one of the most anticipated music festivals, We The Fest (WTF). There’s also the grand automotive event, GIIAS. Additionally, July will be filled with concerts and fan meetings featuring popular K-Drama musicians and actors.

Events and Concerts Schedule in July 2024

ARTJOG (Yogyakarta, June 28-September 1, 2024)

While Bali has its Cultural Festival, Yogyakarta hosts ARTJOG. This year, ARTJOG’s theme is “Motif: Prediction” and it takes place at the Jogja National Museum.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of unique and aesthetic artworks, as well as book launches, talks, workshops, and pantomime performances. It’s a great event to attend with your little ones for an enriching and fun experience.

Indonesia Outdoor Festival (Jakarta, July 4-7 2024)

This event is a haven for outdoor activity enthusiasts. From July 4-7, Hall B at JCC Senayan will host the Indonesia Outdoor Festival, or Indofest. Dozens, if not hundreds, of outdoor gear stands and brands will be present.

Indofest features a variety of events, including expert talks, coaching clinics, product reviews and promotions, music performances, and the Indofest Friendly Run on July 7. Make sure to buy your tickets through the Indofest app to avoid long lines.

Penglipuran Village Festival XI (Bali, July 4-7, 2024)

Penglipuran Village is renowned for its culture and cleanliness. Did you know this village also hosts an amazing annual festival?

This year marks the 11th Penglipuran Village Festival, themed “Pertiwi: Endless Devotion to the Mother Earth as a Spirit of Generative Tourism.” You can enjoy various traditional art performances and gain a deeper understanding of Bali’s rich culture.

Don’t miss the “Musik Pelipur Lara” on July 6, 2024, featuring performances by local and national musicians.

Prambanan Jazz (Yogyakarta, July 5-7, 2024)

Spend an unforgettable weekend at the majestic Prambanan Temple, enjoying performances by dozens of local musicians. Big names like Indra Lesmana, Tulus, Yura Yunita, and Ardhito Pramono will deliver their best performances for jazz music fans.

The event also features cross-genre musicians such as Dewa 19, Gigi Unplugged, Kahitna, and JKT48.

LiSA LiVE is Smile Always ASiA Tour (Jakarta, 6 July 2024)

Japanese singer LiSA is finally returning to Indonesia. The concert, held at the Basket Hall, GBK, Senayan, Jakarta, will be a gathering place for lovers of Japanese music and anime.

Known for singing the opening songs of popular anime like Demon Slayer and Sword Art Online, LiSA will also perform in four other Asian cities: Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Shanghai.

Doh Kyung-Soo Asian Fan Concert Tour (Jakarta, July 12-13, 2024)

D.O of EXO, known as Doh Kyung-Soo, will hold his first solo fan concert (fancon) in Indonesia on July 12-13, 2024, at Kota Kasablanka Hall, Jakarta.

There will be three fancon sessions over the two days: July 12 at 7:00 PM, and July 13 at 3:00 PM and an additional show at 7:00 PM. Be sure to attend the session you choose!

GIIAS 2024 (Tangerang, July 18-28, 2024)

One of Indonesia’s biggest automotive exhibitions is back! The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Tangerang.

Get ready to be amazed by the latest cars and concept vehicles on display from top manufacturers. In addition to car manufacturers, there will be numerous stands offering automotive accessories with many attractive deals.

We The Fest (Jakarta, July 19-21, 2024)

If you love music festivals, you definitely won’t want to miss this event. DJ, singer, and songwriter Peggy Gou has been confirmed as part of the international lineup, alongside Turnstile, Alec Benjamin, and many others. Additionally, a host of Indonesian musicians will also perform at the event, which will be held at GBK Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta.

Jazz Gunung Bromo (Probolinggo, July 19-20, 2024)

Held on the open stage at Jiwa Jawa Bromo, this event invites you to enjoy music amidst the serene breezes of Mount Bromo.

Confirmed performers include Elfa’s Singers, Vina Panduwinata, Ring Of Fire Project, and an epic performance by Gigi Band, which has transformed into the Gigi Jazz Project. Curious? It’s guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience!

Pestipalin (Bandung, July 20, 2024)

Pestipalin, with its typical Sundanese twist on the word “festival,” is a music festival born from the dreams of Bandung’s youth. Held at PPI Pusenif Field in Bandung, this event will feature performances by JKT48, Indies, NDX A.K.A, For Revenge, and many others.

Kim Seon Ho Asia Tour “Color Full” (Jakarta, July 27, 2024)

The handsome South Korean actor, known for his role as Hong Du Sik in “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” is returning to greet K-Drama fans in Indonesia. Previously, Kim Seon Ho held a fan meeting in 2023 at Tennis Indoor Senayan, which had a capacity of 3,000 spectators.

This time, the Indonesia Arena in Senayan, with a capacity of up to 16,000 spectators, has been chosen as the venue for the gathering of Seonhohada, Kim Seon Ho’s dedicated fans.

Tour De Ambarrukmo (Yogyakarta, July 27, 2024)

Starting from Pendopo Agung Ambarrukmo, participants are invited to explore Yogyakarta’s tourist icons by bicycle. There are two route categories: a 128 km regular route and a 145 km route with an elevation gain of 1500 meters for race participants competing for the titles of King of Mountain and Queen of Mountain.

Participants will pass several checkpoints, including Kulon Progo Cultural Park, Ancol Bend, Tempel Field, and Prambanan Temple, before completing the journey back to Pendopo Agung Ambarrukmo.
