When it comes to group travel, whether it’s a big family getaway, a school trip, a company outing, or even a spiritual pilgrimage, charter buses are still the most reliable choice.
With a wide range of seating capacities, service classes, and onboard amenities, today’s tourist buses are more comfortable and practical than ever.
Most people picture the classic full-size bus with nearly 59 seats. But that’s just one option. TRAC offers a complete lineup, from compact vans to luxury coaches, each designed to match different group sizes and travel styles.
Knowing the differences can help you pick the right bus for the job—and make the entire journey a lot more enjoyable.
Choosing a tourist bus over multiple private cars or public transport brings several advantages:
If you want a service that’s safe, comfortable, and run by professionals, TRAC’s tourist bus rental has you covered. Every booking already includes fuel, driver fees, and vehicle insurance. So there are no surprises.
TRAC’s fleet is modern, well-maintained, and supported by experienced drivers trained with safety as a top priority. From compact vans to premium coaches, each vehicle is serviced regularly to ensure it’s always road-ready.
TRAC has six types of tourist buses that can be rented according to your needs. Here are the types and their uses.
For small groups, TRAC offers the Toyota Hiace with seating for 15 passengers. In some cities, you’ll also find the Hiace Jumbo Series, which holds 16 passengers. These compact buses are ideal for family trips, office shuttles, or airport transfers.
Medium buses are available with 31 or 35 seats in a 2–2 layout. The 31-seater offers extra legroom thanks to fewer rows, while the 35-seater maximizes capacity.
TRAC also has a 24-seat Coaster—rarely offered by other providers—that’s perfect for mid-sized groups or routes with tighter roads and parking.
Whether it’s a family gathering, a concert shuttle, or a community trip, the medium bus strikes a balance between comfort and flexibility.
For maximum capacity, TRAC’s big buses come with either 59 seats (2–3 layout) or 48 seats (2–2 layout). Both are available in Standard or High Deck Double Glass (HDD) models, with the HDD offering a more elegant and spacious design.
These buses are perfect for schools, companies, or homecoming trips, complete with generous luggage compartments for everyone’s bags.
With seating for just eight, the Hiace Premio offers a private, premium experience. Captain’s chairs with leg rests and even massage features make the ride extra comfortable. A cabin divider ensures privacy, while onboard entertainment and karaoke keep the mood lively.
With 12 exclusive reclining seats equipped with leg rests, armrests, USB chargers, and cup holders, TRAC’s Medium Luxury Bus is built for comfort.
The cabin comes with a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, a modern pantry with a coffee maker and chiller, plus a restroom. Everything you need for a smooth ride without extra stops.
For the ultimate experience, TRAC’s Big Luxury Buses take group travel to the next level. Options include the Scania with 11 seats or the Mercedes with 15 seats.
Spacious cabins can even be configured like a mobile meeting room, complete with pantry and restroom facilities. These buses are the go-to for executives or anyone seeking long-distance comfort in style.
Before booking, it’s smart to consider group size, facilities, and bus conditions to make sure you get the right fit. TRAC makes the process easy through its website or the TRACtoGo app. Download on the Playstore and Appstore.
Right now, TRAC is offering a special National Customer Day promotion: enjoy a discount of Rp500,000 on bus rentals booked through September 30, 2025.
