Meet pancaroba! Pancaroba is a season of transition where the weather experiences a full-on mood swing. One scorching summer weather can quickly turn into a soaking wet rainy day. But don’t let the unpredictable weather ruin your vacation plans. You can still have fun with your family, relatives, and friends by choosing an indoor tourist spot.
Museum Angkut or Transportation Museum is one of the leading tourist attractions in Kota Batu, East Java. Covering an area of 3.8 hectares, you would need to spend an entire day covering every inch of this museum. In Museum Angkut, you can indulge in a collection of various kinds of vehicles, from the classic and historical like the 1952 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe that was once used as President Soekarno’s official car to the replica of the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft. You can also meet cars and motorcycles neatly lined up according to the theme of the respective rooms, like Hollywood Zone, Gangster Zone, Chinatown, Japan town, Europe town, Old Jakarta, Garbarata, Runaway 27, and the hall. Several areas are designated outdoors but don’t worry because you can still enjoy the indoor collections while waiting for the rain to stop.
Some of you may have well been familiar with this place. Taman Pintar is just a stone’s throw away from the legendary Malioboro area. Taman Pintar means the Smart Park, so, just as the name suggests, you can feel the heavy science nuances that interest children and adults. Spend an extra hour inside the main building, which is the Oval Building. Here, you can pleasantly experience neat scientific experiments while learning about history, geography, astronomy, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Owned by one of the largest media companies in Indonesia, Trans Studio and Trans Snow World exists in several cities across the nation. For an incredible theme park with adrenaline-rushing roller coasters, you can choose Trans Studio Bandung or Trans Studio Cibubur. Fancy another unique experience? Come to Trans Snow World in Bekasi, West Java, where you can play with the snow without going abroad.
One of the instagenic destinations you can’t miss, especially if your selfie game is strong, then Centrum Million Balls is the place to be. For free, you can use various art installations as a photo backdrop. If you’re up to a more exciting experience, plunge into a giant pool arena filled with millions of balls of striking and contrasting colors. Not only is it fun, but it also takes us on a trip down memory lane.
In this water park, you can happily swim and play and splash without suffering the scorching hot sun or getting drenched by the heavy rainfall. This place is perfect for holidays with your family because the various water rides are exciting. Besides being home to an adrenaline-pumping slide, Water Play Circus also often features funny and entertaining clown shows. Other facilities you shouldn’t miss are the hot tub and baby spa for those bringing babies.
Dive deep into the underwater world right at the heart of Jakarta. In Jakarta Aquarium Safari, you will not only find a variety of marine biotas like stingray fish, sharks, and many others but also land animals like meerkats and even birds. At a particular time, you can enjoy plenty of shows, from cute animal shows to drama plays and mermaid shows. How fun! Up for a livelier experience? Do the Aquatrekking program or Underwater Funtasy Diving.
Even though this legendary place is temporarily closed due to undergoing revitalization, you should quickly grab a pen and a paper and jot down “Taman Mini Indonesia Indah” to your bucket list. As the name suggests, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is home to the miniature of Indonesia, where you can spend an entire day traversing across ‘mini’ Indonesia, going from one regional pavilion to another or around a giant lake filled with replicas of islands inhabiting the archipelago. Besides that, there are at least 18 knowledge-laden museums you can visit to learn about Indonesia in a friendlier and more fun way.
Traveling during the pancaroba season does require proper preparation and a couple of tricks up the sleeve. As the weather gets unpredictable, traffic jams are expected when the rain subsides. Not only that, finding parking becomes a hassle when it rains and becomes exhausting when the weather gets hot, especially if it takes a lot of walking. You can avoid these fun-obstructing hassles by using a car rental service with a driver while traveling with family or friends on vacation. If you’re traveling in a group, big or small, it’s advisable to benefit from a bus rental service for a more convenient trip.
To accommodate your transportation needs, TRAC car and bus rental service should be your first preference. The booking process is convenient, right at your fingertips from the TRACtoGo application. Download TRACtoGo from Google Playstore or Apple App Store, and don’t miss out on the best deals you can get.
