Pinggan Village is known for its enveloping fog and spectacular sunrise views. To fully appreciate its beauty, it's recommended to arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m.

 

Central Indonesian Time (WITA). If luck is on your side, you'll witness a magnificent sight: fog and clouds spreading out beneath your feet, giving rise to the village's moniker, the "Village Above the Clouds."

 

Bear in mind, it's best to avoid the rainy season, as the fog often disappears during this period. Most suggest planning your trip between August and November, during the dry season, when the likelihood of rain is relatively low.

 

But don't worry if you can't make it in the morning. While you might miss the mesmerizing fog that blankets the village, you can still relish the panoramic vistas from the highlands throughout the day.

 

As the sun begins to rise, you'll get a clear view of the Batur Mountain's caldera area, Lake Batur, and the silhouettes of the surrounding mountains.

Beyond Pinggan Village, Kintamani and its surrounding areas boast a wealth of other destinations that are well worth adding to your itinerary.

 

Just a 30-minute drive from Pinggan Village will take you to the scenic shores of Lake Batur. Here, you can indulge in a variety of activities ranging from water sports to natural hot baths.
